Our first foray in France. We started in the south with a few days in Carcassonne practising our poor French, exploring castles and tasting cassoulet (a regional specialty). We visited the local market for fresh strawberries and spent part of a day cycling along the Canal du Midi with the kids on the back of our bikes. Throw in a couple of baguettes and a picnic under 2000-year-old Roman aqueduct and we felt like real Frenchies.
