Dubrovnik is a beautiful old walled city on the southern tip of Croatia's coast. Within the city walls are the turrets and towers of white stone buildings, narrow alleyways and streets paved in limestone so shiny that reflects the setting sun in the evenings. It is so beautiful that everyone wants to be there, and there are hordes of tourists each day, (many on a Game of Thrones tour). Despite the people, we still someone managed to find a beach mostly to ourselves one morning, and went for a swim in the glistening blue green water. We had one of the best views of it from our apartment - looking out over the walls of the city, the orange tiled roofs and the sparkling Mediterranean. What made it even better was the fact we were joined by my parents, the first family we have seen for months.
